Kids' Yoga Summer Camp with Natasha Michaud

Our Kids' Yoga Sumer Camp is offering 5 - 10 year olds a Summer Yoga Camp Extravaganza! For three hours a day, students will experience an abundance of activities that help them develop new friendships, create joy, improve flexibility and strength, understand the body, and calm the mind. During this week, students will have many opportunities to sample healthy recipes, play games, create art, meditate, and of course, practice some amazing yoga poses. On the final day, there will be face painting as a wonderful addition! All supplies, snacks, and face painting are included in the cost.

Mandala Yoga Workshop with Aly Daly

Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means 'circle.' It is a spiritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism that represents unity and wholeness. In this workshop we will practice invigorating mandala yoga sequences, by making circles or traveling 360 degrees around the mat. Sequencing will combine multiple areas of focus to create a well rounded and balanced practice. The benefits of this practice are increased balance, fluidity, creative pathways, joy of strength & flow. Join us for this energizing mandala practice that will enliven your entire body and open you up to new possibilities that life is offering!

 

Yoga & Body Rolling with Anita Sielecki

Body Rolling consists of a series of routines that use 6-to-10 inch diameter inflatable balls to stretch muscles, free restrictions in the body, realign, tone and increase blood flow, to promote healing. The routines are designed to not only lengthen muscles and fascia but also improve core strength, enhance posture, flexibility and balance.  They constitute a comprehensive approach that is very compatible and supportive of a yoga practice. When used on their own, they help free the body and relax the mind.

 

Cacao Ceremony with Mallorie Prem

A Cacao Ceremony takes you through a journey of song, dance and meditation, sharing space with women so as to invite insight, clarity, expansion, and joy to the heart centre.

Cacao opens the heart space and thins the veil between the anatomical heart and its energetic matrix. She is a subtle but oh so powerful plant medicine that awakens the intuitive body and deepens the awareness of the feminine flow.

QiGong movements are designed to help your body heal. They are based on the five elements - wood, fire, earth, metal, and water - and integrate ancient Chinese healing wisdom. Master Chunyi Lin developed these both to compliment the basic movements for cultivating Qi in one’s body, as well as to give you a more complete approach to heal yourself.

These movements, which took years of developing and draw upon Master Lin’s decades of Qigong training and teaching, have many benefits including:

Tween Yoga Summer Camp with Natasha Michaud

Tweens! Look no further as we are introducing a Tween Yoga Summer Camp. This camp will help tweens develop strong friendships, confidence, body and mind awareness, mindfulness and, of course, yoga poses. We will practice a variety of yoga poses and analyze these poses as we learn more intermediate ways to move our bodies through solo, partner, and group practices. Snacks will be created together to provide students with educated ways of nourishing our bodies. The camp will also be filled with different crafts, games, and sharing moments. Come share your love of yoga or introduce yourselves to yoga with a group of like-minded tweens this summer! This camp is suitable for ages 8 - 13.

Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Aly Daly

Friday, August 25     6:30 - 8:30pm     $30 (plus GST)

Uniting two powerful methods of relaxation, this workshop will lead you through soothing and grounding Yin Yoga asanas and a guided meditation called Yoga Nidra.  

The long, supported holds in Yin Yoga encourage the body and mind to relax and release tension on all levels. It creates a gentle traction and compression which helps to flush out toxins and lubricate the joints while releasing the connective tissues.

To complete this workshop, you will be guided through Yoga Nidra which induces complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Within this peaceful state, the mind remains awake to explore different states of consciousness, while stimulating rejuvenation, increasing inner strength, shifting limited thinking patterns, awakening creativity, and counteracting stress. Students of all experience levels are welcome.
