Yoga & Body Rolling with Anita Sielecki

Body Rolling consists of a series of routines that use 6-to-10 inch diameter inflatable balls to stretch muscles, free restrictions in the body, realign, tone and increase blood flow, to promote healing. The routines are designed to not only lengthen muscles and fascia but also improve core strength, enhance posture, flexibility and balance. They constitute a comprehensive approach that is very compatible and supportive of a yoga practice. When used on their own, they help free the body and relax the mind.
Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra with Aly
Friday, May 12 6:30pm - 8:30pm $30 (plus GST)
- Uniting two powerful methods of relaxation, this workshop will lead you through soothing and grounding Yin Yoga asanas and a guided meditation called Yoga Nidra.
The long, supported holds in Yin Yoga encourage the body and mind to relax and release tension on all levels. It creates a gentle traction and compression which helps to flush out toxins and lubricate the joints while releasing the connective tissues.
To complete this workshop, you will be guided through Yoga Nidra which induces complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Within this peaceful state, the mind remains awake to explore different states of consciousness, while stimulating rejuvenation, increasing inner strength, shifting limited thinking patterns, awakening creativity, and counteracting stress. Students of all experience levels are welcome.
Yoga for Swimmers with Amanda

Whether you swim competitively, recreationally, or as a triathlete yoga is an excellent complement to the pool.
Using yoga you can learn how to better engage movement patterns specific to the strokes and work in a way to counteract all the repetitive motions in swimming leaving you feeling stronger, smoother, and faster in the water and leaving you less prone to common swimming injuries.
Through breath work, a flow style practice, and recovery techniques we’ll target your shoulders, hips, low back and nervous system. You’ll leave with three practical techniques that you can practice on your own and be ready to “yogify” your swim workouts.
Join me and learn how yoga can become a valuable and enjoyable enhancement to your regular swimming routine.
Yoga Journey Through the Chakras with Rebecca

This workshop consists of meditations and asanas that connect and explore the energy centres in our bodies. Through this practice we can become more aligned with our truth, and gain insight into how we are moving with this world, reducing stress and creating a sense of balance. All levels are welcome.

15 Hour Prenatal/Postnatal Training with Corinne

Yoga teachers who complete this training will have the skills to teach prenatal yoga or accommodate pregnant students who wander into their classes. Learning how to teach prenatal yoga will greatly add to the skill set of a teacher in many ways. You will learn modifications, contraindications, and breathing practices that are safe and helpful for many conditions that are found throughout the pregnant and postpartum population.
This program is perfect for:
· Yoga teachers and teachers in training
· Professionals who work with pregnant women such as childbirth educators, doctors, midwives, nurses, and doulas who have an established yoga practice
· Pregnant women who want to learn firsthand about yoga, pregnancy, and birth
Topics include pregnancy anatomy and physiology, asana modification, designing a prenatal yoga class, flow based yoga, partner work, breathing and relaxation techniques, integrating pregnant women into your mainstream classes, and much more. In addition you will also leave with a manual.
Introduction to Reiki with Rebecca

In these classes we will explore what it means to exist in a sincerely relaxed state of mind and body. We practice these elements in a very experiential way through meditation, relaxation practices and an exploration of symbolism within our understanding of spirituality and being. Gain an understanding of how traditional Japanese methods of Reiki training are taught with an emphasis on a student’s own creative interpretation of the practices and application into their own lives.

The human body is a miracle we experience on a daily basis. Where our mind is literally our body. It has the power to adapt to the position we frequent the most often.
When our daily activities are mostly spending time at the office in a chair, in cars, or on the couch our body molds to that shape. The structure of the body turns in towards the center of the body creating an internally rotated adaptation.
Body Mechanics Yoga invites you to go into your physical form and experience it moment to moment. Body Mechanics aims to balance out the positions frequented most. You will explore your unique self and the current habits you have in your movement. You will learn the corrective exercises and how to incorporate them into your daily life
Prenatal Partner Yoga with Corinne
Saturday, June 10 1:30 - 4pm $65 (plus GST) per couple
A fun way to prepare together for your upcoming labour and birth! Expectant couples will practice movement and breathing techniques that can enhance comfort and confidence in pregnancy and will help prepare mom for labour and delivery. Learn poses to strengthen, open, and relax your body, gentle massage and pain coping techniques. This workshop is recommended anytime during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Prior yoga experience is not necessary and beginners to yoga are welcome.
Yoga for Emotional & Mental Wellness with Jeremy

Join us for a workshop designed to address common challenges faced by individuals with depression and anxiety. This class will include information on depression and anxiety as well as moderate intensity movement and meditation. Previous yoga experience is beneficial, but not necessary.
