Jill is a 600+ hour certified yoga teacher with the YAA, an Egoscue Method ™ Certified Postural Alignment Specialist and a Nutritious Movement Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist with over 15 years teaching experience.


Prenatal Partner Yoga with Corinne McNally

Saturday, November 2 11:00am - 1:00pm $65/couple

Join Corinne McNally, Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher and Birth Doula, for this labour and birth preparation couples yoga workshop. This workshop is a wonderful way to prepare for the journey ahead and will provide yoga and meditation practices, as well as practical information and education, to help prepare mamas and their birth partner for labour and birth. Birth partners will learn valuable tips and practice methods to assist their loved ones through pregnancy, labour and delivery. Most important of all, it will be a healthy, fun and loving time to bond with each other and your unborn baby. 

This workshop is appropriate for all levels. No yoga experience is necessary. Perfect for all stages of pregnancy.

 

Family Yoga with Rebecca Hamilton-Tree

Bhangra Dance Class with Aman Dhaliwal

Bhangra refers to several forms of folk dance and music that originated in the region of Punjab, India.  Bhangra is traditionally a dance to the dhol, a large drum and lyrics that describe stories from Punjab. It is very energetic and can provide a great fitness class. 

Aman Dhaliwal, is a registered social worker, who is of Punjabi decent and has performed in various events and workshops.  Her love for dance has allowed her to use her traditional roots to keep fit and have fun.  Come join the class that will be a fun atmosphere full of tradition and fitness all in one.

Yoga for Back & Sciatica with Lisa Workman

The back is fundamental throughout our yoga practice. We require the bones, joints, muscles and fascia associated with the back to not only support our movements, but also provide mobility and flexibility. Join Lisa as she walks you through the key anatomical components of your back and how they allow our bodies to move on the mat. Highlights will include an emphasis on one of the most common spots for injury and discomfort - the sciatic nerve.


Wall Workshop with Melanie Checknita

Explore an array of different postures at the wall. The wall provides us with awareness to our practice and teaches us how to use our body to bring us into alignment with strength and ease.

Yoga teachers who complete this training will have the skills to teach prenatal yoga or accommodate pregnant students who wander into their classes. Learning how to teach prenatal yoga will greatly add to the skill set of a teacher in many ways. You will learn modifications, contraindications, and breathing practices that are safe and helpful for many conditions that are found throughout the pregnant and postpartum population.

This program is perfect for:

  • Yoga teachers and teachers in training

  • Professionals who work with pregnant women such as childbirth educators, doctors, midwives, nurses, and doulas who have an established yoga practice

  • Pregnant women who want to learn firsthand about yoga, pregnancy, and birth

Topics include pregnancy anatomy and physiology, asana modification, designing a prenatal yoga class, flow based yoga, partner work, breathing and relaxation techniques, integrating pregnant women into your mainstream classes, and much more.  In addition you will also leave with a manual.

Within this peaceful state, the mind remains awake to explore different states of consciousness, while stimulating rejuvenation, increasing inner strength, shifting limited thinking patterns, awakening creativity, counteracting stress and awakening that powerful goddess within!

All experience levels are welcome.


The family here at Yoga Within is always trying to think of ways to improve our schedule & classes to better fit what classes & workshops you want to see & attend. The most helpful way to do this is by your early registration for our Registered Classes & Workshops. We need a minimum number of people pre-registered for each class & workshop. Pre-registrations help us determine what classes you are still excited about & interested in & what we will keep on our future schedule. While we do our best to make as many of our classes open to drop-ins, we need to do as much pre-registration as we can so we can ensure your favourite classes run & stay on the schedule.
