Introduction to Reiki with Rebecca

In these classes we will explore what it means to exist in a sincerely relaxed state of mind and body. We practice these elements in a very experiential way through meditation, relaxation practices, and an exploration of symbolism within our understanding of how traditional Japanese methods of Reiki training are taught with an emphasis on a students own creative interpretation of the practices and application into their own lives. This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their yoga or mediation practice or learn a self healing modality.

Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow, warm clothes, or anything else you may need to be comfortable in savasana for a while.

This may also be time used towards Reiki level 1 certificate.

 

Creating Balance: A Yoga/Writing Circle with Tracy

Spark your creativity and tap into your imagination in this genre-based yoga/writing circle. As a group we will practice gentle yoga poses interspersed with writing exercise allowing you t o discover your voice through poetry, memoir, monologue and other genres.

Expand your personal creativity! No yoga or writing experience are necessary - we welcome everyone!

Please bring a journal. Sharing is encouraged, but not required.

Yoga & Body Rolling with Anita

Body Rolling consists of a series of routines that use 6-to-10 inch diameter inflatable balls to stretch muscles, free restrictions in the body, realign, tone and increase blood flow, to promote healing. The routines are designed to not only lengthen muscles and fascia but also improve core strength, enhance posture, flexibility and balance.  They constitute a comprehensive approach that is very compatible and supportive of a yoga practice. When used on their own, they help free the body and relax the mind.

 

Introducing Yoga Therapy for Depression with Satwinder

Saturday, November 18     2:00 - 4:00pm     $30 + GST

Through the practice of ancient yogic techniques you will learn to enhance your mood and the connection with your most authentic self. You will learn strategies to be more self-aware to maintain a balance and harmony in your everyday life. Meditation learned in this workshop is based on recent research studies. This class is open to all regardless of any previous experience with yoga or meditation. This practice can be done on a chair or bed and is open to all.

 

Family Yoga with Frieda

Bring the whole family and play and move together this fall!  Using games, stories and music, we will explore the world of yoga, connecting with our own bodies and with each other.  Each class will also incorporate time to relax and calm our busy bodies and minds. This class is best suited for families with children ages 4 to 9.
